CLOPTON – Louisiana fell to top-seeded Paris, which beat the Bulldogs 54-18 Monday, Feb. 24.

Louisiana did a little better in the first half, putting up seven points in the first quarter and eight points in the second quarter.

Paris’s team was anchored by their six foot six inch forward Tori Hamilton, who scored 26 times — almost three times as much as their next strongest performer.

Louisiana was then shut out in the third and put up only three points in the fourth.

Faith Rule scored the most baskets for Louisiana, scoring five two-pointers and one free throw for a total of 11. Mechia Campbell put up five points and Estefania Ramirez scored two.

Paris will go on to play in a district semi-final game against fourth-seed Elsberry Wednesday.
