The Clopton Lady Hawks picked up big wins over Louisiana and Montgomery County last week.

Against the Lady Wildcats, Clopton had a solid three quarters to pick up a 67-53 win.

“I felt that we played some of our best basketball through three quarters of the Montgomery game,” said Clopton head coach Deaven Streed. “We played with an upbeat tempo and had contributions from all five on the floor throughout the game. The girls shared the ball and made good decisions. The win over a really strong Montgomery squad will help prepare us for some of the tough teams we will see down the stretch.

Kaitlyn Kuntz led the Lady Hawks with 15 points. Caragan Lockard had 13 points, Calynn Lockard had 11 points, and Jillian Lockard scored 10 points.

Clopton also picked up a 69-27 win over Louisiana.

In that victory, Jillian Lockard scored 19 points.

Kuntz had 13 points; Taylor Akers scored 10 points; while Calynn Lockard and Caragan Lockard both had eight points.
