MEXICO, MO – “Super Heroes” was the theme for 4-H Junior Camp held June 3-6, 2019 at Camp Cedar Crest near Mexico. Youth ages eight to 11 from Audrain, Pike, Ralls, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Shelby, Scotland and Marion counties took part in the camp.

Counselors for the camp were: Callie Bailey, Lucas Martin, Alli Marshall, Katelyn Lee, Kyle Martin, Evan Meyer, Abbie Waddell, Pike County; Sara Ridout, Eme Ridout, Olivia Lehenbauer, Elijah Edwards, Everett Pangborn, Drew Billups, Keri Schindler, Marion County; Christina Gronefeld, Lauryn Robnett, Lauren Lafferty and Adam McCurdy, Audrain County.

Counselor led workshops included the topics of Robotically Super, Clowning with Jokers, Bee a Super Hero, Spider Web, Artists in a Half Shell, Green Lantern and more. Campers learned social, cooperation, team building, and leadership skills through these workshops. The campers also enjoyed swimming and water games.
