Missouri Mudders holds the first beater bash race of the season at Pike's Off-Road
It was man and machine verses the track and other racers last Saturday at Pike’s Off-Road. A few women were in the mix, as well. The circle dirt track proved difficult to overcome as drivers put their beater cars through the paces.

Bulldogs on track for a successful season
The 2025 Louisiana track season has been a great success for the Bulldogs! The team started out the season with 59 personal records broken in the first meet, and after that, averaging about 20 PRs per meet! The girls team managed to take home four first place finishes while the boys followed with consistent third place finishes. At the EMO conference meet located in Montgomery County, there were 12 athletes who earned All-Conference Honors! The girls team finished second overall and the boys finished fourth at this meet.

Mega Mudfest draws more than 3,500 to Pike's Off-Road Park
The air was filled with dust and roar of engines as thousands of off-road vehicles roamed the 880 acres out at Pike’s Off-Road Park last weekend. Josh Carmon, with Missouri Mudders, estimated more than 3,500 people were in the park over the course of the weekend.

New season has Bryce Sparks eager to hit the race circuit

The LHS boys and girls basketball teams competed in their district tournaments, the swim team earned some hardware at the State meet, and the speech and debate team medaled in several events at their district tournament in Kirksville.

Baseball Fest proves rewarding for local boy
Jaxson Wommack, 14, of Bowling Green, was selected to play for the JP Sports All-American team in the New Year’s Baseball Fest held in Panama City Beach, Fla. Jaxson was one of 12 on the team out of hundreds of athletes selected.

Bowling Green Senior Recognition Night
“Each year we take time to recognize the accomplishments of the senior members of the boys' and girls' basketball teams,” said Principal Larry Lagemann between the basketball games when Bowling Green faced Wellsville-Middletown last week.

It only took seconds for No. 23, Jace Eskew, put up the first two points of the game against the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers. It didn’t take long for him to put up another 3 from beyond the paint.
