R-I Board approves salary schedules for 2025-26 school year
Employees of the Bowling Green R-I School District will see an increase in pay for the next school year after the Board took action on May 20 to approve salary schedules. The base pay for teachers will increase from $39,000 to $39,200 and the base hourly rate for staff positions will increase to $15 per hour for those employees paid on an hourly basis.

Bulldogs on track for a successful season
The 2025 Louisiana track season has been a great success for the Bulldogs! The team started out the season with 59 personal records broken in the first meet, and after that, averaging about 20 PRs per meet! The girls team managed to take home four first place finishes while the boys followed with consistent third place finishes. At the EMO conference meet located in Montgomery County, there were 12 athletes who earned All-Conference Honors! The girls team finished second overall and the boys finished fourth at this meet.

Louisiana Rotary Golf Day 2025 fundraiser nets $4,000 for scholarships
The Third Annual Rotary Scholarship Golf Tournament took place at dawn on April 25 at the Pike County Country Club. The day started out with comfortable temps and no rain. Teams gathered to have a great time.
