U.S. Army members and Army semi-truck make visit to BGR-I campus
The U.S. Army sent an interactive semi-truck to the Bowling Green R-I campus recently. High School students had the opportunity to tour the simulator truck. For middle school students they had to be at least 14 years of age in order to board the semi and take part in the simulations.
Missouri Parents as Teachers parent education programs improve outcomes for young children
A research paper was recently published in the Early Childhood Research Quarterly that shows participation in the Missouri Parents as Teachers Parent Education Program is positively associated with thirdgrade math and English language arts proficiency. This research contributes to the literature on the importance of home visiting programs and is one of the few studies examining the effects of a voluntary, universal parent education program.
