EDWARD HEFFNER

 Edward J. Heffner, affectionately known as “Pops,” aged 82, of rural Curryville, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
 There will be no services per his wishes.
 Ed was born on May 6, 1942, in St. Louis County to George Thomas and Lillian Marie Neusbaum Heffner. On October 5, 1963, he married the love of his life, Joan M. Hinghaus (MooMoo) in St. Clement, Missouri. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising five children: Sandy Wilhoit, John R. Heffner, Theresa (Tess) Hull (Eddie), Mary Ellen Baskett, and Eddie J. Heffner (Sherry).
 Ed is survived by his devoted wife, Joan; his children Sandy, Tess, Mary Ellen, and Eddie; his brother Ted Heffner (Ruth); and a legacy of grandchildren: Derek Hull, Jeremy Heffner, Brandy Nelson (Shawn), David Wilhoit (Emily), Jessica Jaime (Dan), Stephanie Oberman (William), Aron Baskett (Chyanne), Erik Heffner, Lorin Heffner (Alexis), and Kurtis Heffner.
 His love and legacy continue through his great-grandchildren: Jayda, Emma, Michale, Leila, Alex, Shaun, Kale, Jaxson, Cash, Jaxdyn, Kolton, Jayson, Lyncoln, and Ryker.
 Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son John Heffner; grandson BJ Heffner; his siblings Bill Heffner, George Heffner, Betty Ann Lawson, Shirley Wolfenbarger, Fred Heffner, and an infant brother who died at birth; as well as his son-in-law Dean Wilhoit.
 Ed will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the unwavering love he showed to his family and friends. His legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him.
