FRANK STURM JR.

Frank G. Sturm, Jr., 66, of St. Charles, Mo, died Nov. 22, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital, surrounded by his family. He fought a valiant fight against AML leukemia, having been diagnosed in May of 2024. Frank was the son of Frank G. Sturm, Sr. and Frances Berry Sturm. He was born Feb. 21, 1958, in St Louis, MO. He grew up in Louisiana, Mo., and considered Louisiana his hometown. Frank graduated from Louisiana High School in 1977. On Oct. 8, 1983, Frank was married to Kelly Troutner (Holtsman) and together, they had one son, Timothy Kyle Sturm. Following in his father’s footsteps he got into the automobile business where he excelled for over 40 years. Most recently he worked for Seeger Toyota in Creve Coeur, Mo., and also spent many years with Frank Leta Honda in O’Fallon, Mo.

Frank loved the Lord and read his bible every day. His faith was strong, and we all knew where he would spend eternity. His leisure time was mostly spent on the golf course, usually at Pike County Country Club, in Louisiana. He was an excellent golfer and accomplished the feat of nine holes-in-one over the years. He was a fierce competitor on the course and took his golf seriously. If he wasn’t on the golf course, you would probably find him at the gym! He even continued to exercise while he was in the hospital, much to the complete amazement of his doctors and staff at STL University Hospital. Frank never knew a stranger and was loved by many. His passing leaves a big hole in many hearts.

Frank is survived by his son, Kyle (Kara Wieberg) Sturm of Bowling Green, Mo.; sisters, Nancy (Arch) Kohl of Jackson, Mo., Patty (Denny) Marquitz of Bonita Springs, FL, and Jan Harrison of Kirkwood, Mo.; nieces and nephews Emily Harrison, of Reno, Nev., and children, Jack, London, and Vivienne Kinnaman; Justin Harrison of Glen Arm, Md., and children, Luke and Maci Belle Harrison; Andy (Katelyn Thomas) Kohl of Columbia, Mo., and Jason Kohl of Mexico, Mo. He is also survived by his rock and loving companion, Connie Wright of Forney, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Louisiana Community Food Pantry.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Collier Funeral Home, 117 Barnard Dr., Louisiana, MO. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – noon, followed by the service at noon. A private burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
