uddy Wayne Feldmann, 73, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, as a result of a farming accident.

Services for Buddy were Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green with Ruth Mahar and Pastor Shonda Galloway officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation was Monday from 10 a.m. to the time of services at the funeral home.

Buddy was born April 3, 1951, in Bowling Green to Anthony Herman and Annie Marie (Sachs) Feldmann. He was united in marriage to Dinah Ruth Bent on Sept. 16, 2017, at the Curryville Presbyterian Church, after a 16-year courtship. Dinah survives.

Also surviving are a step-son, Andy Orf; granddaughter, Olivia Welch; siblings, Kaye Williams of Bowling Green, and Joe Feldmann of Bowling Green; nieces and nephews: Derrick Feldmann (Dawn), Darrin Feldmann, Damon Feldmann (Rose), Doug Feldmann (Jackie), Dustin Feldmann (Ashley), Danielle Freie (Chad), Jennifer Hagan, Diana Toprani (Raj), and Beth Lear (Kerry); along with many cousins and extended family.

Buddy’s parents; and two brothers, Butch Feldmann and Vernon Sachs, died earlier.

Buddy grew up on the family farm in rural Bowling Green. He attended Bowling Green Schools, and was a 1969 graduate of Bowling Green High School, where he was an active member of the FFA. After graduation, Buddy worked for the State Highway Department, and later worked for Harbison-Walker. He also helped Uncle Pee Wee (Melvin Sachs) operate his farm.

Buddy enjoyed playing slow pitch softball with the Goose Hill team. He loved raising cattle. In his spare time, Buddy followed the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Duke Basketball. He watched a lot of westerns, and he was partial to John Wayne movies. In his younger days, Buddy enjoyed hunting quail and pheasant.

Pallbearers were Derrick Feldmann, Darrin Feldmann, Harold Koester, Scott Craig, Kelly Leadly, and Dustin Feldmann.
