Bill Whyte, who used to work at the local radio station, came back to town in July of 2022, to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the sighting of Mo Mo the Missouri Monster. Whyte sang the song he wrote about Mo Mo during a concert at the Louisiana Elks Lodge. He is scheduled to perform again at the Legends & Liberty event during the two-day celebration, July 4 and 5.
