Patricia “Patti” Ann Soukup, 64, a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died Dec. 10, 2024.

A memorial will be held from 1 – 3 p.m., with a Time of Remembrance to follow from 3 – 4 jp.m. at Bach-Yager Funeral Home in Columbia, Mo., Dec. 21.

Patti was born April 23, 1960, to Ansel and Martha Lou Grote, one of nine children. She graduated from Bowling Green High School and attended Pike-Lincoln Technical Center after. She tried her hand at many jobs, but eventually found her calling as a dental assistant, which she proudly did for more than 20 years. She loved to spend time with her daughters and their families, but her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also loved to go to wineries with her sister, caring for her yard (sometimes a bit too much), painting, and crafting with both glass and resin.

Patti leaves behind her daughters Kayla Aitkens (Eli) and Megan Gipson (Joe); five grandchildren, Emma Wilson, Ewan Aitkens, Kylee Wilson, Jace Aitkens, Charlee Gipson; five brothers, Wayne, Bob, Larry, Harry, Joe; a sister, Betty; and many nieces and nephews.

Patti’s her parents; two brothers, Tom and John Grote; sister-in-law Michelle Grote, and one son-in-law Kyle Wilson, died earlier.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Donate Life America to help others continue a legacy that Patti leaves, by helping others after she is gone.
