LYNNE BARBANO

Lynne Barbano, 59, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, in Louisiana, Mo., where she spent her last few years. Born in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 18 1965, Lynne lived a rich life that took her from her hometown Louisiana, Mo., to places as far as Wyoming, Georgia, and Florida.

Lynne was a talented cake decorator as well as an in-home caretaker and a retail manager. She had a passion for singing and dancing, once even participating in a singing competition where she performed a Patsy Cline song. A cheerleader in her youth, she was known for her lively spirit and ability to light up any room. Lynne managed a business in Georgia for many years. She enjoyed traveling, won the lottery once, and loved sharing stories about her grandchildren.

Lynne was also known for her deep love for animals, especially her pets, and for her cake decorating. Her family and friends will remember her as the life of the party and a woman who was strong and determined.

Lynne is survived by her daughter, Amanda Jo Yarbrough of Monroe City, Mo.; her sons, Christopher Cody Johnson of Hannibal, Mo., and Clinton Caleb Johnson of Hannibal, Mo.; and her grandchildren, Cecil Vernon Bastian V, Preston Bradley Johnson, Allen Morris Cates, Kynli Johnson, William Henry Johnson, Abigail Elaine Yarbrough, Kohl Woodhurst, and Zayla Johnson.

She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Bland and Alison Bland of Wyoming; her sisterin- law, Karen Barbano of Louisiana, Mo.; and numerous stepsisters, nephews Dexter Barbano of Louisiana Missouri, Zac Bland of Texas, Trey Bland of Wyoming, Gage Bland of Wyoming, nieces, and cousins.

Lynne’s brother, Dexter Barbano, her father, Paul Barbano, her mother, Linda Garner, and her grandmother, Martha Garner and several others, died earlier.

Her memory will be cherished by many who loved her vibrant personality and generous spirit. Lynne’s family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her remarkable life and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
